Understanding and using MultiMate

This book is part of THE MICROCOMPUTING SERIES. As such it is an endeavor unique both to West Educational Publishing and to the College Publishing Industry as a whole. We are "breaking this new ground" because in talking with educators across the country. we found several different needs not easily met by just one publication. Those needs are:
1. To teach the principles or concepts of microcomputer use independent of runmng specific software programs,
2. To teach the skills of specific application software programs, and
3. To create a microcomputer curriculum flexible enough to handle changes in technology or courses with a minimum of change in the teaching materials used.

THE MICROCOMPUTING SERIES is an innovative attempt to meet those needs by integrating a machine independent overview of microcomputers (the core text) With sertcs of inexpensive, software specific, "hands on" workbooks. Although each text in the senes can be used independently, they become especially effective when used together to provide both an understanding of how microcomputers work as well as experience using popular software packages.
