Heat transfer
This book presents an elemental discussion of the principles of heat transfer. The presentation of the material is carried out by following classical lines which divide the discussion into conduction, convection and radiation separately. This book emphasizes that the physical mechanism of convection heat transfer is conduction through a stationary fluid layer near the heat transfer surface.
Another log-mean-temperature-difference (LMTD) and effectiveness approach is presented in the analysis of heat exchangers, also providing a brief introduction to diffusion and mass transfer.
