Buku Ketenaganukliran
Solid state chemistry and its applications
This book is the first to attempt a unified coverage of the broad field of solid state chemistry. Synthetic methods, most of which are not encountered in other branches of chemistry, are described. The methods used to analyse and characterize solids, especially X-ray diffraction, are explained, a survey is given of the various diffraction microscopic and spectroscopic techniques and the information that each can yield, the principles of inorganic crystal strutures, crystal chemistry and bonding in solids are set out, and the various types of crystal defects surveyed. Phase diagrams of 1, 2 and 3 component systems are described, with particular emphasis on their inter- pretation and applications: different types of polymorphic phase transitions are discussed.
